In what can be termed as a motivation to other people, an 83-year-old man in Southeastern New York chase on drunk driver so that he cannot harm innocent people.
The old man was on the way to a wedding with his daughter in the car when he was rear-ended by a drunken driver. According to media reports, the driver fled the scene and was driving so carelessly that the older gentleman was quite fearful of the safety of other individuals that are driving in the road. Faced with emergency car situation, 83 year old shows quite a bit of courage and pursued so that no damage is done.

More importantly, daughter of the older driver called law enforcement officials immediately and tell them about the driver who was driving so carelessly. Insiders say that the 83-year-old gave chase for fifteen miles from New York into Connecticut before things becoming normal. There is still speculation in the media whether the drunken man was aware of the chase done by 83 year old.

After the arrival of law enforcement officials, drunk driver was booked for breaking DWI laws. Later on it was found that he was driving without driving license. This story is a brilliant example for all those who do not take initiative just because they are old. If you have the will power, you can do anything. It doesn’t really matter what you age is and how much stamina you possess. To reduce drunken driving accidents, it is quite important that people take initiative and do not ignore things. If someone is driving recklessly, it is your responsibility to inform the law enforcement officials about it. The drunken driving accidents are only going to decrease when the people doing this get a right kind of punishment.

You can lose your driving license when you drive after being drunk. Most of the US states have quite a tough DWI laws and the law enforcement officials do not compromise on it.
Vehicle Registration

To save your driving license, it is of paramount importance that your vehicle registration is current. If that is not the case, law enforcement officials have every right to suspend your driving license.

Going Through Tests

When driving after being drunk, you may have to go through various tests conducted by law enforcement officials. These tests will be used as evidence against you in the court. Taking into account the importance of these tests, it is advisable that you take these tests in the presence of your attorney.

Application Procedure

When you are booked for DWI, first thing that you need to do is to file an application in the court with regard to your driving license. In some US states, you need to submit an application for driving license suspension almost immediately. If you do not follow this, you can lose your driving license. By taking the services of experienced and highly qualified attorney, you can get rid of this situation. As DWI laws vary from one state to another, only take the services of an attorney which has a comprehensive knowledge of all the state regulations. Application procedure is relatively easy especially if you manage to find a right kind of attorney.
