Celebrities these days don’t really care about their profile. In what can be termed as a shocking incident, Three’s Company star Joyce DeWitt was arrested in southern California for driving drunk. According to media reports, DeWitt was pulled over in the El Segundo and given a field sobriety test. After the test, law enforcement official come to the conclusion that DeWitt was intoxicated and arrested her. However, she was released immediately after the arrest.
It is really quite baffling that celebrities are not learning from their mistakes. Born in West Virginia, DeWitt got a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. Later on, she earned masters degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. While earning masters degree, Joyce DeWitt worked as a house painter on a part-time basis.
Career
DeWitt became a huge star after her role in Three’s Company. However, after gaining so much popularity, it was quite surprising that she did not get involved in any other television project. DeWitt is an avid pantyhose wearer and has declined number of bare-legged scenes. DeWitt come out in the media and said that she has not taken any role in Hollywood films because of the poor treatment from the Three’s Company producers. However, she did co-produce and host the NBC-TV television film Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three’s Company with actress Melanie Deanne Moore.
